Leo Buzz: A 200 Crore Profit Before Release

The Kollywood industry is abuzz with ‘Leo’ mania, even though the recent release trailer received a mixed response. Starring Thalapathy Vijay and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film is slated to hit theaters on October 19. It’s rumored to be Vijay’s most violent film to date.

Surprisingly, ‘Leo’ has already become a massive success, emerging as the most profitable movie for producers in Kollywood, with an estimated profit of around 200 Crores..The film’s budget, confirmed by the team, stands at a whopping 300 Crores, while its business transactions have closed at approximately 500 Crores.

The combination of Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay generated a frenzy in both theatrical and non-theatrical markets, contributing to the film’s astounding profitability even before its release. An additional highlight of ‘Leo’ is the reunion of Vijay and Trisha after 15 years, with their last collaboration dating back to ‘Kuruvi’ in 2008.

This film marks Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s second collaboration after ‘Master.’ Produced by Lalith Kumar under the Seven Screen Studio banner, ‘Leo’ is poised for potential additional profits if it receives a favorable reception upon its release.
