Legendary Cinematography rejects a film due to Kangana

Kangana Ranaut has been busy trying to make the death by suicide case of Sushanth Singh Rajput, entirely about her. The actress tried to talk about the drug angle when NCB came in to the picture and talked about nepotism when the case was first being built on it. She has been giving out statements and telling stories that suit her version to stay involved in the case in media. She slammed many Bollywood celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone about their personal lives as well.

Her behaviour might be right or wrong, we don’t want to make that judgement. But people do and legendary Cinematographer PC Sreeram, who shot films like Mouna Ragam, Nayagan, Geetanjali, OK Kanmani, for Mani Ratnam and introduced many innovations in Indian Cinema visual grammar, took a stand to Not work with Kangana.

He tweeted that he had to reject a film offer due to her and even though that saddens him, he had to take a stand and he took this. He tweeted,

“Had to reject a film as it had Kangana Ranaut as the lead .Deep down i felt uneasy and explained my stand to the makers and they were understanding. Some times its only abt what feels right . Wishing them all the best.”

Well, does this indicate a soft ban on the actress from Bollywood? Will most of the actors, technicians – majorly seniors, decide to stay away from her films? Looks like PC Sreeram’s action is just one start.
