Laxman Utekar Calls Katrina Kaif Small Town Heroine

Why Katrina Kaif wasn’t paired with Vicky Kaushal in “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke” was revealed by Laxman Utekar in a recent interview.

Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan are a fresh acting duo who will be seen together for the first time in “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,” which was directed by Laxman Utekar. Though it would have been a treat for all of their fans to witness the real-life pair in a movie, there have been many debates on why he chose not to cast Katrina Kaif as Vicky’s wife. The director has now responded to those questions.

For the uninitiated, Katrina and Vicky wed in 2021 after just a brief courtship. Every time the pair goes outside for activities or even just regular dates, they appear to be madly in love.

Laxman Utekar said, “Meri language Katrina ko samajh aayegi tabhi kar paunga (laughs). Aapko lagta hai Katrina kabhi small town ki heroine lagegi? If we get a good script, I would love to work with Vicky and Katrina.”

Laxman Utekar further claimed, “I wouldn’t get them onboard this time because Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is in a different space and I feel Katrina ka joh aura hai and personality hai, mujhe personally laga nahi ki voh ek middle-class joint family ki bahu lag sakti hai. Agar future mein aisa kuch banega joh unko suit karega toh kyun nahi.”

The family drama Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which will be released in theatres on June 2, 2023, will star Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan. In other developments, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ishaan Khatter, and Katrina Kaif most recently appeared in the movie Phone Bhoot.
