Latest updates on Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger

Director Puri Jagannath is famous for wrapping up shooting for his films in a record time, usually taking a very short span of time to complete his movies. So far in his career, the only film that’s taken long for him to complete is Liger, which stars Vijay Deverakonda in the leading role.

The main reason for Liger taking this long to complete is the coronavirus pandemic, the two waves of which, impacted the film industry greatly. On the other hand, the team has also brought popular boxing legend, Mike Tyson, on board, to play an important role in the film. As a result, a part of the film has to be shot in the US, and Vijay had recently confirmed that this is taking longer for them to film, which is delaying the film more than expected.

Shooting for the next schedule of Liger began today, with the team of Liger going to Mumbai to shoot for the film. The film is co-produced by Bollywood star Producer Karan Johar, while Bollywood actress Ananya Panday is the leading lady of the film. The official release date of the film is yet to be announced.
