Lal Salaam Telugu Shows Cancelled, Rajinikanth Fans Disappointed

Lal Salaam, the long awaited action drama film starring Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, opened worldwide today in all languages. Aishwarya Rajinikanth, Rajini’s eldest daughter, directs the film, which revolves around cricket and includes young actors Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth with Rajinikanth.

Although the commercial success of Rajini’s previous film, Jailer, which became the third highest grossing Telugu dubbed picture with a share of more than Rs 47 crore, Lal Salaam failed to generate considerable attention among Telugu fans and trade circles.

Surprisingly, the first-day presentations of Lal Salaam had to be canceled due to low attendance in various theaters across the Telugu states. Online booking platforms have already begun refunding tickets to disgruntled fans, making future viewing of the film questionable.

In Lal Salaam, Rajinikanth makes a special appearance as Moideen Bhai, a Mumbai underworld don. The film boasts a soundtrack composed by the renowned AR Rahman, while Lyca Productions has invested heavily in its production. Despite the setback on its opening day, the fate of Lal Salaam remains uncertain as fans and the industry await further developments.
