Lakshmi Manchu undergoes training for getting Telangana accent rights

Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna is very choosy about her roles. She does interesting characters and now she has played an interesting role as a Telangana politician in the web anthology Pitta Kathalu. Tharun Bhascker is the director of her part and the director is known for his Telangana accent. He has much grip on this accent. His movies have rich Telangana slang.

So he made sure the anthology movie he directed has that flavor as well. Though Lakshmi Prasanna hails from Hyderabad she has that American accent in her Telugu words as well. So, Tarun Bhascker has made sure that Lakshmi Manchu gets the accent right. She has undergone some classes for this.

Pitta Kathalu is a four-part web anthology which is helmed by four different directors. Netflix has produced this movie which will release very soon.
