Lakshmi Manchu, a Telugu actress, is thrilled over a still from her first movie appearing in a Golden Globe article.

Lakshmi Manchu, a Telugu actress and producer, is thrilled with a still from her debut movie, “Anaganaga O Dheerudu,” (2011) that appears with a piece by Meher Tatna on the Golden Globes website.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which oversees the Golden Globes, was presided over by Tatna, a journalist who works for Singapore’s “The New Paper.” ‘Tollywood – Telugu Cinema in India’ is the title of her piece, which was published on May 17.

Lakshmi Manchu praised the article for shedding light on the extraordinary rise of Tollywood and emphasised the necessity of all regional language industries being accepted as a one Indian film industry.

Lakshmi Manchu stressed the need of recognising the diversity of the Indian cinema industry in her post on Instagram Reels.

She said, “Just one thought here that I want to put forth, especially to the western world. India is a multicultural and multilingual nation. There are as many film industries as there are languages.

“Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Odia, Bhojpuri and Assamese language industries are also thriving in their own right. I feel the industry and the nation as a whole, must come out of the woodwork and be perceived as one. “We are the Indian Film Industry. It is one big family and every member has their unique significance to make this Indian film industry tick.”

When taken as a whole, Lakshmi Manchu brought attention to the Indian cinema industry’s strong financial standing.

The Telugu and Tamil cinema industries’ respective remarkable turnover statistics of $212 million and $197 million were given in the article, but Lakshmi Manchu noted that when added together, these figures—which exclude Bollywood—reach $409 million.

She further emphasised that these numbers did not even take into consideration the numerous different languages and regional sectors, highlighting the enormous significance of the Indian industry as a whole.
