Telugu cinema is known for the high profile combinations. Bringing two actors who have been highly successful as always been the safest bet in this big gambling world. Producers are sure to sell off their movies for good fancy rates with the new combination of a successful actor with a in form director. For such combinations, a star heroine adds up to the calculations. Even though a new heroine could bring in something new to the table, star heroine brings in her fans to the theatre as well. This marks for a fruitful opening for the first three days, at least and if the movie becomes a hit, the presence of such star actress adds up to the final collections as well.
But the Telugu Film Industry, always blossoming with many films under production and actresses who work their magic on audience, is suddenly finding scarce of such star actresses. Big movies in particular are finding it difficult to get the proper heroine in their film to match to the hype and the characters in the movie. Till last year, actresses like Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal were in full swing and the producers were happy taking them in their movies. But with Kajal aging and Samantha not accepting many Telugu movies, over her impending nuptials with Naga Chaitanya, Rakul being too busy with projects, producers are finding it hard to set a combination.
Sukumar tried to set a new combination with Raashi Khanna for his directorial with Charan but he did not find the chemistry fitting for his subject. He had to bring in Samantha for the project by spending more than usual and with a promise to wrap up sooner. The actress on rise, Keerthy Suresh was found not fitting after a screen test by Koratala Siva for his next with Mahesh Babu. While Koratala wants to bring in new combination but he also wants it to be in sync with his story and live up to the hype and range of the subject. In short, the next replacement for current big star heroines has been absent from Telugu Cinema and producers are finding it difficult to start off their big projects.
