Ganapath, starring Kriti Sanon, deviates from conventional Bollywood by introducing Hindi cinema to the world of cyberpunk-styled science fiction.

Actress Kriti Sanon, who is now enjoying her huge success following her triumph at the “National Awards,” has spoken up about her next film “Ganapath” and revealed how she suffered serious injuries while acting out the action scenes.

Kriti received the National Award for “Best Actress” on Tuesday at the 69th National Awards, which were hosted in New Delhi, for her role in “Mimi.” Recently, the actress talked about her experience working with nunchucks for her next film Ganapath.

Alongside lead actor Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon was in the nation’s capital on Wednesday to promote the film “Ganapath.” She looked stunning in a white dress with short sleeves, and she accessorised the ensemble with thigh-high boots.

Kriti wore her short hair loose and went for a low-key makeup look, with kohl-rimmed eyes and glossy lips. The actress’s appearance was as dreamy as ever.

“Nothing is really easy when you are doing it for the first time,” Kriti remarked in reference to her role-playing preparation. Before this movie, I had never done any action. Since Tiger starred in my first movie, I’ve always wanted to make action flicks.

My character Jassi uses nunchucks, which I don’t think anyone has done here. So, to learn that, you have to make it a part of your body, so I started learning nine months before the shoot. It was not easy. I had ripped and hurt myself a lot on my head and elbow everywhere,” said Kriti Sanon.

She further said: “But it’s nice to be finally practicing until you really get it, and then you see it on the screen come alive. So I would really love to do a lot more action. We shot in Ladakh, where the oxygen level was so low. So doing action scenes there is actually tougher than even doing it normally anywhere. But it’s all worth it.”

The plot of “Ganapath” deviates significantly from conventional Bollywood fare, as it explores the territory of cyberpunk-styled science fiction in Hindi cinema. Though the idea of a chosen one freeing a people from an oppressor is not new, it is presented in a dystopian, “Blade Runner”-style film with a melancholic mood and the vibrant look of Hindi cinema.

Fans are quite excited about this idea and the trailer, and they have given high marks to the action and the love elements.

Elli AvrRam and Amitabh Bachchan are also featured in the film.

“Ganapath,” which is helmed by Vikas Bahl, is set to premiere in theatres across several languages on October 20, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
