Kiara Advani, who was originally cast in Don 3, is reportedly stepping away from the film as she’s expecting her first child with husband Sidharth Malhotra.
She will finish her ongoing projects, War 2 and Toxic, before taking a break. Following her exit, several names were considered for the role, including Kriti Sanon and Sharvari.
Now fresh reports suggest that Kriti Sanon is the frontrunner and is likely to officially sign on soon. A source revealed that the makers, including director Farhan Akhtar and Excel Entertainment, were looking for an experienced actress with strong screen presence, and Kriti fits the role perfectly.
She is expected to play Roma opposite Ranveer Singh. The movie is set to go on floors by October or November 2025.
Most of the shoot will take place in Europe, with pre-production currently in progress. The script is locked, and only minor polishing remains before filming begins.
