Yesterday afternoon news came out that Superstar Krishna’s mortal remains kept at his residence at Nanakramguda will be moved to the Gachibowli stadium after 5 PM for fans to pay their respects. But due to the over-floating of fans at Krishna’s house, his departed soul is kept at the residence in Nanakramguda itself for the fans’ visit.
Reports suggest that Krishna’s final rites will take place from his residence to Maha Prasthanam, Jubilee Hills this afternoon after 3 PM as planned earlier. Krishna’s son Mahesh Babu along with other family members will be participating in the final rites. Reports also suggest that Nandamuri Balakrishna who is shooting for his upcoming film, Veera Simha Reddy in and around Anantapur will also be coming to pay homage to Krishna today.
As we had reported yesterday, the Telugu Film Producers Council ( TFPC) has decided to call off film shootings for today as a token of respect to the iconic actor.
Born in a middle-class family in a village named Burri Palem in 1942, Krishna made his silver screen debut as one of the lead actors in the 1965 film, Thene Manasulu. As the film went on to become a box office hit, there is no looking back for Krishna later. In his film career of almost five decades, Krishna did close to 350 films. Krishna is the first Telugu hero to introduce the first Cinemascope film, the first Eastmancolor, the first 70 MM film, the first DTS film, and the cowboy genre to the film industry.
