Krishna Vamsi, as a director started his career with his boss, Ram Gopal Verma production, Verma Creations, Gulabi and earned name and fame with his next outing with Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Ninne Pelladutha. The movie became a sensational blockbuster and Krishna Vamsi was able to stamp his authority on telugu cinema. He then made Sindhuram, Chandralekha, Antahpuram, Murari, Khadgam, Samudram. With all these films he established a mark for himself and then lost it somewhere. His next films Sri Anjaneyam, Mogudu, Paisa, Sasirekha Parinayam, Mahatma turned out to be disasters while his Chandamama and Govindudu Andarivadele were reliefs during his lull period.
He did Rakhee with Jr. NTR which was highly praised by women for its subject line but did not become the huge hit that it was expected to be before the release. He is now making a movie, Nakshatram with Regina Cassandra, Sai Dharam Tej, Pragya Jaiswal and Sandeep Kishan. The film is said to be nearing completion and the director is busy with the scripting works for his next with Nandamuri Balakrishna, Raithu and post production works of Nakshatram. He decided to give an interview to the famous video journalist on a web media channel and he decided to call all the critics, unparliamentary term and question their authenticity. He ridiculed them saying what do you know about the shot making and asked them to wait till a week for the public to watch the film rather than influence their opinion.
Well, the director is known for his eccentric behaviour on sets and many fights with producers and actors. But there should be a line drawn before commenting on others as well. The critics and reviewers are not any divine souls but definitely are not worthy of the term used by the director. If as an director he is frustrated about the kind of criticism he receives, he should also understand any reviewer or critic comes from a background off watching many movies like how he did to learn the craft and any of them are subjected to share their opinion in a free country. A bit restraint and respect, would be appreciable from the talented director at least in a public medium!
