The film ‘Kotha Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’, starring Naslen and Kalyani Priyadarshan, was originally made in Malayalam and later dubbed into Telugu and other languages. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan under the Wayfarer Films banner, it released on August 29. The Telugu version missed morning shows but started with evening shows. With positive word of mouth, it received good openings.
Directed by Dominic Arun, the movie offered a fresh experience to Telugu audiences. Released in Telugu by Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments, the film reached break-even within just 4 days, which is quite remarkable.

By day 4, it earned Rs. 44.46 crores profit, with total gains of Rs. 24.46 crores, making it a double blockbuster. In Telugu, with a target of Rs. 2.5 crores, the film collected Rs. 2.6 crores in 4 days, earning a small profit of Rs. 0.10 crore.
