Tamil star Vijay’s upcoming film, Varisu under the direction of Tollywood director Vamshi Paidipally is gearing up for a Pongal release. Being bankrolled by top Telugu producer Dil Raju, the film’s dubbing version will hit the screens in twin Telugu states as Vaarasudu during Pongal/ Sankranthi season.
Starring Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, the makers have already kick-started the film promotions by unveiling the first single from the audio album of the film a few days back. On the other hand, the news is coming in that the film is sealing pre-release business deals on a record note across Tamil Nadu.
In Telugu states, producer Dil Raju is planning to hold maximum screens for Vaarasudu despite the release of two biggies Veera Simha Reddy and Walter Veeraiha. As per our sources, Varisu Karnataka deal is closed for Rs 7.5 crore. Reportedly, noted distribution channel Swagath Enterprises.
Coming to the key topic, the makers are planning to hold the audio release event for Varisu on December 24th. If everything goes smoothly, the event will take place at Nehru Stadium, Chennai on a lavish note, say sources.
Varisu/ Vaarasudu also has senior actor Sarathkumar, Khushboo, Jayasudha among others in prominent roles. Thaman is the music composer for this said-to-be family entertainer.
