On Mother’s Day, Masaba talked about how her mother Neena Gupta gave her a lifelong tip and helped her face her worries.
Masaba answers to ZEE’s #MyFirstStoryteller film on Mother’s Day and shares a significant life lesson she learned from her mother Neena Gupta.
Mumbai, May 14, 2023: On Mother’s Day, a few films stood out because of how straightforwardly they delivered the message in an emotional way. The ZED film is an example of a film that speaks directly to the soul. The innovative campaign by ZED brilliantly highlights the frequently underappreciated function of a mother as a child’s first storyteller. The movie discusses how mothers encourage their kids’ curiosity by telling them stories that will pique their interest in life. After all, our mother’s very first stories are what form our core values, mould us, and ultimately mould society.
Popular fashion designer and actress Masaba Gupta responded to this movie by sharing a significant life lesson she learned from her mother, Actress Neena Gupta, who was her first storyteller, and how this has shaped her basic values and remained with her even today.
She captioned her post, When i saw ZEE’s Mother’s Day film, I liked the idea of looking at our mothers as the first storytellers of our lives. When their team asked me to share a fond memory of #MyFirstStoryteller, my mother, my thoughts went back to how she would comfort me. As a child, I was afraid of the dark. I remember as a 4-year-old, I was scared to go to sleep. Every night, mum would hold me tight and recite the Gayatri Mantra with me and put me to sleep no matter how busy she was. On one such night she explained the meaning of Gayatri Mantra and the power it holds. That is something that has stayed with me. To this date when I fear something or am taking up something new, I chant it, remember my mum and take the step forward. It is her support and her love that walks with me every day. It is a trick which always comes in handy! Today, whoever I am is because of the values I imbibed through her stories.
Masaba joins ZED in inviting people to share tales told by their moms that have stuck with them for life and take part in this great campaign by sharing this priceless life lesson that she learned from her mother Neena.
