Kiran Rao’s Kindling Pictures is supporting Bosco Bhandarkar’s debut film Shadow Hill which has been selected for the WAVES Film Bazaar at IFFI. The team is now looking for co-producers and financiers to complete the project.
Set in Goa, Shadow Hill follows two men on a treasure hunt where one trying to uncover a hidden truth and the other wanting to escape his boring life.
A mysterious woman guides them with stories from the past helping them find emotional clarity. The film blends humour and sadness while exploring themes of memory, loss, human connection and Goa’s changing environment.
Bosco says the story was inspired by his childhood summers. He hopes the film brings a sense of love and faith in humanity at a time when people need it the most. He also lights issues like rapid real estate growth and corruption affecting Goa.
Kiran Rao praises Bosco’s unique, emotional storytelling and believes the film offers a rare balance of humour, depth, and danger.
