After being a married actor, according to Kiara Advani, people expect you to act or say a specific way. The actress spoke up regarding dealing with trolls.
One of the most beloved couples in Bollywood is Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, and for good reason. They had been in love for a while before taking their union to the next level and getting married on February 7, 2023. After having a blast during their enormously expensive wedding in Rajasthan, the couple quickly returned to their jobs. Kiara, who is now enjoying the success of her career, recently made news for the success of her most recent movie, SatyaPrem Ki Katha, which she co-starred in with Kartik Aaryan.
The actress recently talked about the criticism and trolls she encountered after marrying the love of her life in an interview. She claimed that she experienced trolls and criticism to the point where it bothered and negatively affected her.
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani admitted to Film Companion that they first had reservations about posting their wedding photographs. Later on, Manish Malhotra was the one who pushed them and instructed them, “You have to post it.” The Shershaah actress continued by saying she had a lot of hostility around her shortly after their marriage and that she felt forceful and domineering on social media around the time Satyaprem Ki Katha was released.
She said, “I felt like there was very weird negativity going on about certain scenes ‘Oh isne yeh kyu kia hai, woh kyu kia hai.’ Maybe it was to do with ‘Oh, now she is married’ all of that. I just felt like, ‘Wait! What just happened here? This is all too new for me because, on the one hand, people troll you for very ridiculous things, but now people were trolling you because you are a married actor, and people expect you to say or do certain things. That got to me slightly. I was not able to brush it off. It was really affecting me.”
She went on to describe how her husband Sidharth Malhotra helped her comprehend and told her to disregard the haters and trolls. “There was some negativity that really got to me, and I didn’t even talk about it with my husband,” said Kiara Advani. I was like, “Let’s not talk about it because the moment I do, I start delving deeper into it.” He had also noticed it on his own, but he refrained from bringing it up because he didn’t want to draw attention to it. He was the one who gave me the explanation.
Sidharth Malhotra continued by saying, “Look, there will always be these terrible trolls…but if you’re going to give so much attention to this, be sitting at home and crying and pretending like s**t has hit the roof right now. What’s the matter with you? They are unknown to you. They have never met you. These could be comparable to specific fans who disapproved of our marriage. Simply let things be. Why are you involved with it? I comprehended why I was sitting there and experiencing all of these sensations if he was being so mature about it. Thank God I have someone to advise me not to pay attention to this garbage who has insight, maturity, and experience in this area.
Kiara Advani is currently working on the films War 2 and Game Changer.
