The names Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone began to appear in the original cast.
While Alia Bhatt currently seems to be the top choice for directors, Kiara Advani is emerging as the clear runner-up. Her name has recently been linked to Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Ranveer Singh’s Don 3. Now, rumours say that the actress may have joined Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra adaptation.
The casting has changed significantly since Bhansali began developing the movie. Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor were initially mentioned as potential cast members, but after Inshallah was cancelled, Bhansali began leaning more and more in Alia’s direction.
Then it was claimed that Bhansali even attempted to pull off a historic casting coup by casting Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as the protagonists and Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone as the supporting cast. However, it is clear that nothing happened.
According to recent rumours, Alia Bhatt will play Rani Roopmati, and Kiara Advani will play Gauri. The information was posted by Filmfare and eventually removed, but internet users could not help but notice Kiara Advani’s close relationship to every big-budget movie.
On a Reddit forum called BollyBlindsNGossips, some screenshots were published, but the community’s members lambasted the Satyaprem Ki Katha actress’ overzealous PR for making her the face of every movie.
A netizen commented, “Kiara’s PR cant stop making unreliable news..Lol.” Another Redditor wrote, “But she was in JAWAN also naa?” A third comment read, “I just realized that Kiara is rumoured to be a part of every big project that’s in the works. This is some next-level PR to keep her relevant.”
Kiara Advani’s most recent acting appearance was in SatyaPrem Ki Katha with Kartik Aaryan. The actress is reportedly a part of Shankar’s upcoming film and Don 3 with Ranveer Singh.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is still looking for a veteran actor to play Tansen in the Baiju Bawra adaptation. Ajay Devgn reportedly received approaches for the position but turned them down.
