Kannada Cinema never experienced such frenzy in other languages before. Many other language films used to dominate even in Karnataka though many Kannada films released, simultaneously.
Yash’s KGF took off with the first promotional trailer and the film in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil also got a huge response on an opening day and it sustained the craze for two weeks. Still, it is going strong.
The movie collected Rs. 25 crores Nett in Hindi, Rs. 8.25 crores share in Telugu and Rs. 1.85 crores in Tamil Nadu. It is the first US$650 Million grosser for any Kannada film in the USA and other Overseas markets are yet to report.
Such frenzy at single screens is also not seen in recent times with the surge in the number of multiplexes. Prashanth Neel is being most sought after by different actors from different languages. He is busy with the second part of the film.
