Kenishaa Francis has taken legal action after facing online abuse and threats linked to her rumored connection with Tamil actor Jayam Ravi.
After being seen with him at a wedding in Chennai, rumors spread online, leading to hateful messages. In response, Kenishaa shared a cease-and-desist notice on Instagram, urging trolls to stop immediately.
The legal notice explains that Kenishaa has been targeted in a planned online campaign involving misuse of her photos, fake and suggestive content, and serious threats, including rape and death threats. These acts violate several sections under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and the IT Act, 2000.
Her team has collected strong evidence such as screenshots and usernames, to use in legal proceedings if needed.
Kenishaa also opened up about the emotional and reputational harm caused. Meanwhile, the divorce case between Ravi and Aarti Ravi continues, with the next hearing scheduled for June 12th.
