Bahubali2 had to face release problems in Karnataka after groups like Kannada Rakshana Vedike announced to ban the movie and protested the release on 28th April, citing the comments made by Kattappa, Satyaraj during a public meeting nine years ago. Tamil and Kannada people war over Cauvery water distribution has been a problem always and the governments both the lands are also unable to find amicable solution with pride of people attached to it.

Well, at a time of drought, Cauvery water is the only source for South Karnataka and Tamil Nadu as well. For North Tamil Nadu area, starting from Tiruchirapalli to Tanjore, known as Rice Bowl of South India, it is Cauvery water that is used for irrigation and drinking purposes. Well, looking at farmers plight from both sides, actors tend to release some heated up comments at the moment. While Satyaraj’s comments were made during a public meeting of Nadigar Sangam nine years ago, the actor made harsh comments in the nick of the moment.
With drought conditions again prevailing during the irrigation season of 2016-17, the problem has become even serious with safety of Kannada people in Tamil Nadu and Tamil people in Karnataka becoming a huge problem.

Hence Kannada Rakshana Vedike as been set up and the activists chose Bahubali2 release as the right time to demand an apology from Satyaraj and after avoiding the controversy for years, with Bahubali producers and director requesting the actor, he issued a public apology and the ban on Telugu version has been lifted by KRV and Nagaraj the leader of the activists also announced that the Bandh call on Friday has also been called off! Well, Kattappa who killed Bahubali in film seemed to have doing the same in real life for the movie but in the nick of the time, he saved it!
