Suriya will next be seen in Karuppu directed by RJ Balaji with Trisha Krishnan as the female lead. The film has already created very strong buzz among fans.
Even before its release Karuppu has reportedly earned over Rs 110 crore by selling its music, satellite and OTT rights across South and Hindi markets.
The theatrical rights for South regions and overseas are still pending which may add more revenue.
The film is said to be made on a budget of around Rs 130 crore and it has already recovered a major portion.
The story follows a lawyer who gets possessed by a deity and begins fighting against injustice in society.
