Kartik Aaryan’s Aashiqui 3 Director Shares Major Shooting Update

After a long wait, filmmaker Anurag Basu has shared a major update on the third installment of the classic Aashiqui 3. The film starring Kartik Aaryan was officially confirmed by the actor in September 2022 on Instagram, and fans have been eagerly awaiting to hear some news relating to the film.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Anurag Basu, who will be directing the musical saga, revealed that Aashiqui 3’s shooting will begin next month. He said, “We will start the shoot next month.” He also informed that the film is currently in the pre-production phase.

Aashiqui 3 was in the headlines earlier this month after reports of actress Triptii Dimri leaving the project came to the fore. It was stated that the makers felt she was not a good fit for the role, as they wanted someone who is innocent.

A source close to the film’s development had said, “Triptii Dimri with her recent films has become too exposed to be cast in this romantic film which demands purity in demeanour from the female lead. Aashiqui is a legendary, soulful love story and the makers do not see Tripti fitting the parameters.”
