Sailesh Kolanu is currently busy with Emo Emo Idi, a romantic comedy starring Roshan Meka. After completing it, he will work on the script for HIT 4.
According to reports, Karthi may be available for the film from mid-2027. The dialogue version of the script is expected to be ready by December.
Karthi will reportedly play Veerappan, with Sailesh returning as director and Nani backing the project. The film is likely to begin shooting next summer after pre-production.
The HIT franchise has already delivered three successful films with Vishwak Sen, Adivi Sesh and Nani. While the first part was praised for its investigative intensity, later films focused more on violence.
HIT 4 will need a strong thriller that appeals to both Telugu and Tamil audiences.
