Karthikeya 2 release to be postponed

The much-awaited sequel to the movie Karthikeya, Karthikeya 2, was announced to be released on July 22nd, after a lot of anticipation. The film is written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti, who wrote and directed the first installment as well. Nikhil and Anupama Parameswaran are the leads in this movie, which also features Bollywood actor Anupam Kher in a key role.

The first trailer for the film was also recently released, and there was a good buzz surrounding a possible second trailer as well. However, it now looks like audiences would have to wait longer than expected for the second trailer to drop, as reports suggest that the film’s release could get postponed. It is being said that the film’s release could be pushed to August, to facilitate the release of Naga Chaitanya’s Thank You.

Thank You was supposed to be released in early July but was pushed to July 22nd, to allow for grand promotions. As a result, the makers of Karthikeya are said to be in plans to avoid any sort of competition on the day, due to which they have decided to push the release of Karthikeya 2 to August.
