Yesteryear, glamdoll actress and dancer, Radha’s first daughter Karthika Nair debuted in films with Josh alongside Naga Chaitanya. The movie did not become a success but Karthika got an offer to play journalist in Ko. The movie became highly successful and she got many more offers in Tamil and Malayalam. The actress has been choosy and did only two films in Telugu, Dhammu and Brother of Bommali.
She earned fame in South Industry and never looked at Bollywood as that you take away the freedom in her resident city, Mumbai. The actress said, “I love to lead a simple life and not many recognise in Mumbai. I did not want to change that, so never looked at Bollywood as a career option.” She elaborated, ” In fact I never thought of acting as a career option. My mother turned a house wife post marriage and growing up in Mumbai, I did not have such filmy connections too. At the age of 14, in my tenth I got first offer to act and did take up the offer out of respect towards work.”
She continued, “For me having a normal life is also equally important as having a successful career. I am afraid of stardom and its effects, so I chose as less films as possible from the cluster, I am offered.” Now, the actress is busy shooting for mega budget hindi Tv series, Aarambh with Goldie Behl. “I was highly skeptical to accept the offer before. But when I heard the story is by Vijayendra Prasad and complete scope of my character, I thought, I cannot loose this. Even though it is a TV series, the production budget is equal to a film and highly hectic too. I have special respect to TV actors after my experience and I love to see the people reaction to our hard work.”
