Acclaimed Kollywood director Karthik Subbaraj’s last film, Mahaan with Vikram had a direct-to-OTT release last month. Later, reports came out that the talented filmmaker has high chances to join forces with Superstar Rajinikanth after the 2019 film, Petta, the latest buzz is that Karthik Subbaraj is working on a sequel for his 2014 hit film, Jigarthanda.
Reportedly, Karthik Subbaraj is roped in Raghava Lawrence for the lead role in the sequel. Meanwhile, the reports indicate that the film will be ready by Diwali 2023 for a theatrical release. An official announcement regarding the same is awaited.
Also starring Bobby Simha in a key role, the movie is produced by Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films banner will be bankrolling the movie.
However an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.
