Karthi met with an accident while shooting for Sardar 2 in Mysuru. He was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
Though fans are worried reports suggest he is receiving proper medical care. Doctors have advised him to rest for a week to recover fully.
Due to this the shooting of Sardar 2 has been paused, and the team is returning to Chennai. Filming will resume once Karthi is back in action.
The team had recently wrapped up the climax shoot in Chennai, and the current Mysuru schedule included an intense action sequence with Karthi and SJ Suryah, choreographed by Chethan Ramshi D’Souza.
Sardar 2 began filming in mid-2024, and nearly 80% of the shoot is completed and the film has high expectations.
Unfortunately, the production faced a tragedy earlier when stuntman Ezhumalai lost his life during a fight scene in July 2024.
Directed by PS Mithran and produced by Prince Pictures, Sardar 2 features music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and promises to be an intense spy action thriller.
