If there is any movie in another language that has done more sound then it definitely is Malayalam blockbuster Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The film is a sensational success in Kerala. It starred Pruthviraj and Biju Menon in the lead roles. Sithara Entertainments has bagged the Telugu remake rights of the movie just before the lockdown. Since then there have been numerous speculations about the lead cast in the movie. Several names like Ravi Teja, Rana Daggubati, Pawan Kalyan, etc., have made rounds but nothing has been finalized yet.
Now, the latest news about this Malayalam blockbuster is that it is going to be remade in Tamil as well. Five Star Films owned by Kathiresan has owned the remake rights. Karthi will be seen in one of the lead roles. Though Suriya has given thought of sharing screen space with Suriya, he later backed out the idea due to obvious reasons.
It is said that Parthiban will play the other lead role. The regular shooting will start from December in Ooty.
