Kareena Kapoor Khan recently admitted to Ranbir Kapoor that she never believed Jab We Met would be a commercial success.
The true Bollywood diva in every way is Kareena Kapoor Khan. She is unrepentant, speaks her mind, never holds back when giving her ideas, and exudes enough aura to support her claims. The actress recently shared that she had all of her money on the YRF film “Tashan” and never imagined Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met would be such a great success.
Geet, played by Kareena in the film Jab We Met, continues to be adored and admired by many. Together with her and Shahid Kapoor’s chemistry, it became a classic film (on and off-screen).
Kareena Kapoor Khan recently opened up to Ranbir Kapoor for Mirchi on her chat programme, What Women Want, and remarked,“I was in this whole zone of getting size zero, I am working like in Tashan, with like Akshay (Kumar), Anil (Kapoor) and Saif (Ali Khan).”
Kareena Kapoor Khan continued the conversation by stating that she had placed all of her wagers on Tashan and had never anticipated that the situation would actually turn out to be the opposite, the actor said, “I was like I got the main part and it was a Yash Raj film and I was doing action for the first time and whenever I came on the Jab We Met set it would be like ‘you know please I need to train because I am going for action training.’ I never thought, the reverse situation actually happened, you know I had all my bets on Tashan.”
When asked who from the new generation could play Geet from Jab We Met in a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kareena responded, “I cannot comment on my role, but for Geet (Kareena Kapoor’s character), I honestly doubt anybody else will be able to do that kind of justice.”
