The much-awaited crime drama Daayra has officially gone on floors yesterday. Directed by Meghna Gulzar and jointly produced by Junglee Pictures and Pen Studios and the film stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in powerful roles. Both actors bring intensity and depth, raising expectations.
The first behind the scenes glimpses already hint at raw energy and impactful storytelling. Prithviraj looks intense as a police inspector while Kareena fierce look adds to the film’s appeal.
This project marks the third collaboration between Junglee Pictures and Meghna Gulzar after successful films like Raazi and Talvar.
With Pen Studios also backing the film, known for hits like RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi, Daayra is mounted on a large canvas.
Co-written by Yash, Sima and Meghna, the film explores crime, punishment and justice. With a strong narrative and stellar performances Daayra is shaping up to be one of the most awaited releases of 2026.
