Karan Johar’s “Aap Jaisa Koi”: A Romantic Comedy

Karan Johar is gearing up for his new phase after receiving investment from Adar Poonawala, and he’s busy launching multiple films.

In November, he began a project with R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh. While the media speculated that the movie’s title was “Tharki”, sources have confirmed this isn’t true.

According to insiders the film, directed by Vivek Soni of “Meenakshi Sundareshwar” fame, is now titled “Aap Jaisa Koi”. Karan, a fan of the iconic song, felt the title fits the movie perfectly.

The story is about a 40 year old man falling for a woman. They meet on a dating app and the plot unfolds as their relationship develops. The movie is set in Mumbai and Kolkata.

The film is set for a digital release on Netflix in 2025 continuing Dharma Productions collaboration with the platform.
