Karan Johar has announced the release date of his upcoming film on Rameshwar Nath Kao, the founder of India’s external intelligence agency, R&AW.
The film will hit big screens on August 11th 2028 while Karan revealed this news on social media and described Kao as “The Man, The Myth, The Legend”.
The film is based on Nitin Gokhale’s book Gentleman Spymaster and will focus on Kao’s role in building R&AW and its first mission.
Karan first announced this interesting project in 2020 but the cast and other details are yet to be revealed. RN Kao served as the first chief of R&AW from 1968 to 1977 which was great.
The upcoming film will explore his long journey and contribution to India’s intelligence system. Further details about the project are awaited.
