Dhanush will be seen next in the film earlier known as D54 which has now been officially titled Kara. On the occasion of Sankranthi the makers announced the title and released a new poster.
The poster shows Dhanush in a raw and intense avatar giving a strong first impression. Sharing it on social media the team wrote that D54 is Kara, wishing fans a happy Pongal and Sankranti. Dhanush also shared the poster with a simple festive greeting.
The banner carries the tagline “Sometimes staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive” hinting at a dark and powerful story. Everyone expressed excitement about seeing Dhanush in a new kind of role.
Directed by Vignesh Raja and the film Kara is described as an emotionally driven suspense thriller. Music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
The film shoot began in July 2025 and is nearly complete with post production starting soon. The movie is planned for a February 2026 release and expectations are very high.
