Production on Vishnu Manchu’s ambitious film “Kannappa” is under underway in the stunning New Zealand scenery. Mukesh Kumar Singh, who directed the Mahabharat series, is well-known for his work. The film is slated to release on theaters in 2019 and looks to be a visual spectacular.
The recently revealed first look poster features Vishnu Manchu, portraying the character of Kannappa, aiming an arrow skyward amid a flurry of arrows. Cleverly designed, the river and dense forest in the background mirror the shape of a Shivalinga, intricately aligning with the movie’s central theme. With the caption, “The Bravest Warrior. The Ultimate Devotee,” the essence of Kannappa’s character is vividly captured, emphasizing its pan-Indian appeal.
This grand-scale project boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Prabhas, Mohanlal, Nayanthara, Shiva Rajkumar, Sarathkumar, and Madhubala, among others. The film’s lavish budget is supported by 24 Frames Factory and Ava Entertainment.
The screenplay is penned by Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, Burra Sai Madhav, and Thota Prasad. The musical genius of Stephen Devassy and Manisharma adds to the anticipation surrounding this venture. “Kannappa” is set to be a captivating cinematic experience, promising more intriguing details as its release draws nearer.
