Kangana Ranaut has sparked controversy again with her comments on the tragic suicide of Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash.
Subhash left behind a 24-page note accusing his wife and in-laws of harassment, which has brought attention to issues of mental health and marital problems.
Reacting to the incident, Kangana said “The entire country is in shock. His video is heartbreaking… Fake feminism is condemnable. Extortion of crores of rupees was being done. However, in 99 percent of marriage cases, it’s the men who are at fault. That’s why such mistakes also happen”.
Her statement, especially claiming that “men are at fault in 99 percent of marriage cases,” has faced strong backlash online.
Many have criticized her for being insensitive, while some supported her stance against “fake feminism”. The debate has reignited discussions about gender roles in marriages and societal pressures.
