Kangana Ranaut has criticized the makers of the new web series “IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack”. Starring Vijay Varma and directed by Anubhav Sinha, has caused controversy for its depiction of the 1999 hijacking incident.
The problem is that the series uses Hindu names for the hijackers instead of their real names such as Ibrahim Athar and Shahid Akhtar Sayed.

The real hijackers were members of a Pakistan terrorist group.
Kangana Ranaut known for her strong opinions, expressed her disapproval on Twitter. She believes the series intentionally changes historical events for political reasons.
Kangana wrote, “While OTT platforms can show extreme violence and nudity without restrictions, and distort real events to fit political agendas, there is no platform for making films that focus on the integrity and unity of India”.
Law of the land is that one can show unimaginable amount of violence and nudity on OTT platforms without any consequence or censorship, one can even distort real life events to suit their politically motivated sinister motives, there is all the freedom for communists or leftists… https://t.co/BRRrG6NGXh
