Kamal not in the mood to quit films!

Kamal Haasan, in one of his pre-party announcement press interviews, suggested that he is going to stop making films and acting in them, as he wants to establish himself in politics with his ‘Makkal Needhi Maiam’ party. The actor then clarified that he meant to do lesser films, that is, the frequency with which he will be involved in films will be less but he won’t give up on them entirely.

Now, the latest scoop from Chennai film media circles is that Kamal could use his huge star image to propagate his ideas deeply into the minds of Tamil people, for the benefit of his party. He might have thought that he doesn’t need to do so, before but with another popular star like Rajnikanth too coming into the politics, if he doesn’t really work in films that keep his aura and image, alive in people’s memory, his party might suffer in next elections, in which he wants to be a major player.

Now, the actor has decided to add latest political scandals and money laundering scams like Nirav Modi’s scam and Vijay Mallya’s escape in his Indian-2, sequel to his most popular commercial success, Indian. The movie came in 1995 and still, his character, old Indian, a freedom fighter, is alive. Bringing it back to life, Shankar will start working on the film, after the release of 2.0. Smart decision by Ulaganayagan, we must say.
