Kamal Haasan is known for speaking openly about not just films but also politics and religion. Recently his comments have sparked controversy and caused trouble for his film Thug Life which got banned in Karnataka.
Now, the Tamil Nadu BJP is calling for a boycott of Kamal’s films because of his remarks about Sanatana Dharma made during a recent charity event.
BJP Tamil Nadu Secretary Amar Prasad Reddy posted, “Earlier it was Udhayanidhi Stalin, now Kamal wants to destroy Sanatana Dharma. Let’s teach them a lesson”.
During the event, Kamal said, “Only education can change the country. It can break the dictatorship of Sanatana” while speaking about the NEET exam.
These comments led to backlash but Kamal Haasan has not yet responded to the BJP’s criticism. As of now he doesn’t have any film ready for release.
