The much-awaited MS Subbulakshmi biopic was officially launched in Chennai on September 16th. The event was held at the Music Academy to mark the legendary singer’s 110th birth anniversary.
Rashmika Mandanna will play MS Subbulakshmi while Gowtam Tinnanuri is directing the film. Anirudh is composing the music in a great way. Kamal Haasan attended the event and gave the first clap.
Kamal praised Anirudh and said this film could become an important turning point in his musical career for sue. He also praised Rashmika for taking on the much challenging role and asked her to perform it with great confidence without fail.
Kamal highlighted MS Subbulakshmi’s contribution to Indian music and said her huge popularity crossed language and regional boundaries.
The biopic aims to introduce her much inspiring journey and musical legacy to a new generation.
