Kamal Haasan Expresses Joy Over…

It’s a proud moment for Indian cinema as Kamal Haasan, Ayushmann Khurrana and filmmaker Payal Kapadia have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

This recognition is part of the Oscars Class of 2025 which joins 534 artists from around the world who have made a significant impact on global cinema.

Kamal took to Twitter to thank Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin for his warm wishes. Stalin congratulated Kamal calling the invitation a long overdue recognition of his contribution to world cinema.

Kamal responded saying that while the Oscar invitation brought joy, Stalin’s kind words made it even more special.

Kamal and Ayushmann have been invited to join the Academy’s Actors Branch while Payal Kapadia joins the Writers Branch. The Academy praised all new members for their outstanding contributions to the film industry.
