Kamal Haasan is known as a complete actor in India. He got four National Awards in his career and fourteen Filmfare awards too. The actor started at the age of four years in Kannathur Kannamma as his father wanted him to become an actor. After that he continued to do small jobs and went to many theatre groups as an young artist. He became an assistant choreographer and composed dance moves to Akkineni Nageswara Rao in his movie, Srimanthudu.
He became an actor reluctantly as his guru, Balachander suggested him to become an actor rather than an assistant director or a choreographer. The actor said this many times and he thanked him in many interviews for being a guide in his life. In his tribute film, Uttama Villain to the master he called him Margadarshi and he maintained a great relationship.
The actor is a great fan of ANR and Shivaji Ganeshan. He treats them as his gurus in acting and wishes to be as good as them in acting. He treats them with greatest respect and in many of his favourite films he added ANR’s Manam, the actor’s last film. He has a great friendship with SP Balasubramanyam and calls K. Viswanath as his greatest friend who lent him characters to live on screen. He made a great film like Nayagan but he suggests it to be a brain child of Mani Ratnam and respects his writing for the film more than anything. Kamal Haasan did not just remain as an actor and ventured into writing, direction as well. Ilayaraja helped him to be a singer and he credits him for his success as a singer and also for his knowledge in music. Kamal turned 58 years as an actor now and he is still going strong as an actor, director, writer and a producer. We wish the great actor a great career ahead too.
