Kamal Haasan Calls For Respecting People’s Verdict

Even after the Tamil Nadu Assembly election results, the political situation remains unclear as no party has reached the majority mark of 118 seats.

Vijay’s TVK party is just short of the number but has emerged as the single largest party. Many expected the Governor to invite Vijay to form the government but that has not happened yet, leading to many rumors online.

Meanwhile, actor-politician Kamal Haasan, now with the DMK, said they respect the people’s verdict and will act as the opposition.

He also stated that those in constitutional roles must do their duty and allow Vijay to take oath as Chief Minister.

Kamal added that denying TVK the chance to form the government would disrespect the people’s decision and said majority should be tested in the Assembly.
