Kalyan Ram’s next with East Coast Productions begins

Actor Kalyan Ram’s upcoming film co-starring Nivetha Thomas and Shalini Pandey was launched at Ramanaidu Film Studios in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Directed by K.V. Guhan, the film is a production of Mahesh Koneru. The muhurat of the film was attended by the actor’s younger brother NTR who sounded the clap, while father Harikrishna switched on the camera. Nandamuri Ramakrishna did the honorary direction for the film’s first scene.

Speaking at the occasion, director K.V. Guhan said, “I am quite excited to be working on a film with such an interesting cast and production team. This is a suspense thriller and the script has come out really well.”

Producer Mahesh Koneru said, “After Naa Nuvve with Kalyan Ram garu in our banner, I am quite glad that we are working on a second film again, even as the first film is set to release soon. Guhan garu’s script impressed everyone and we gave a not soon enough. From May 2, the film’s regular shoot will begin. Music composer Sekhar Chandra has proved his mettle in composing for thrillers and we have roped him in to add value to out film.”

Shalini shared, “This is my second film in Telugu and I am glad that it’s in such an interesting genre.”

Nivetha stated, “Guhan garu narrated the script to me in Tamil. I have been away from Telugu films for a while now, and I am glad to be coming back with this film. I have known Mahesh garu from very long and I am quite happy to be working with him.”

Composer Sekhar Chandra said, “The film’s genre being that of a suspense thriller, I find great scope for music and will give it my best.”
