Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin get along well and recently said that after their divorce, they each took their own time to heal.
Yesterday saw the release of Kalki Koechlin’s most recent movie, Goldfish, which also stars Deepti Naval and Rajit Kapoor. Pushan Kripalani is the director, while Anurag Kashyap, Kalki’s ex-husband and a filmmaker, is handling the presentation. The 2015 divorce between Kalki and Anurag was peaceful, and the two are still friendly. However, Kalki recently spoke up about adjusting to the divorce and said that the early years of the separation were challenging.
Kalki Koechlin said that the first few years post-divorce, they couldn’t be the kind of friends that they are today. “It takes time. There is no denying that in the first few years after our divorce, we couldn’t be the kind of friends that we are today. We needed that separate time because it hurts to know about the other person’s relationship and things like that.”
She said that Anurag and she spent that period apart. She said that she had received extensive counselling, and that seven to eight years later, things are fantastic and their friendship is strong. Anurag and Kalki separated in 2015 after being married in 2011. In 2020, Kalki and Guy Hershberg welcomed their first child together, a girl named Sappho.
