Kalki 2898 Postponed ?

The science fiction movie also features Kalki 2898 AD. The movie, which was made by Vyjayanthi Movies, is due out on January 12th, 2024.

In Hyderabad, the filming for “Kalki 2898 AD,” starring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone, has resumed.

A photo from the shoot was posted on the movie’s official Instagram account. On the image, there was a sticker with the words “shooting time” pasted on it.

The shooting schedule reportedly started in Hyderabad. Up until August 28, the cast and crew will be filming significant scenes with the lead actors. The movie also includes Disha Patani in significant roles in addition to Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. the Nag Ashwin-directed sci-fi film in a futuristic setting.
The movie’s release was announced in February 2020 in conjunction with Vyjayanthi Movies’ 50th anniversary under the working title “Project K.” However, the Covid-19 epidemic caused a year-long production delay. On a futuristic set at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, filming commenced in July 2021.

The movie reportedly cost Rs 600 crore to produce.

Amitabh explained in June why he didn’t attend the ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ panel at the Comic-Con in San Diego. He acknowledged that the director Nag Ashwin had invited him, but said “work and medical restrictions have kept me away.”

“Alright.. so.. San Diego and K, the project.. a great moment for the film and the makers and all who went there for the release of the first look for it,” Amitabh wrote on his blog. Nagi Sir pushed me very hard to go, but I’ve missed a lot of these events due to job and medical issues.

The famous film figure said that the first impression “was pretty darn good.”

So, but I have to say that the first impression was really impressive. The design, soundtrack, frames, and ultimately the reveal of K.. KALKI.. mythologically significant.. 2898 AD!! “AD’ has changed, hasn’t it? ” he asked in his letter.

Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, and Kamal Haasan all made personal appearances at the San Diego Comic-Con. Through a zoom video connection, Big B joined the panel. It was revealed that the movie, formerly known as “Project K,” has been renamed “Kalki 2898 AD.”
