The makers of Kala Hiran: The Battle For Legacy will approach the Supreme Court after the Delhi High Court ordered the removal of the film’s teaser and promotional content.
The order came after Salman Khan claimed the film used his identity and public image without his consent.
His legal team argued that the teaser featured a lookalike wearing his signature blue bracelet and included references to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case which could damage his reputation.
Director Bharat S. Shrinate said the team respects the court but believes artistic freedom should also be protected.
The team insist the film is inspired by real events and the Bishnoi community’s wildlife conservation efforts but not based on Salman Khan’s life.
