Kajol revealed who she would have chosen as Salman Khan’s character in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in a recent interview.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, starring Salman Khan in a cameo appearance together with Kajol, Rani Mukerji, and Shah Rukh Khan, continues to be a fan favourite. The leading actress recently said that she considered adopting a different conclusion, despite frequent criticism and accusations that it was politically inappropriate. In a recent in-depth interview, Kajol revealed some startling discoveries.
In the Karan Johar-directed movie The Unversed, Kajol portrays the tomboyish role of Anjali, who is best friends with Rahul (SRK). Tina (Rani Mukerji), with whom Rahul is in love, recently got married. Things shift, though, when Tina passes away right after giving birth to their daughter. Years later, Anjali, who is ready to wed Aman (Salman Khan), and Rahul are reunited by Rahul’s daughter. However, given the ideal outcome, Anjali picks Rahul over Aman, and the two get back together.
In contrast, Kajol claimed in a recent interview that she would have changed the ending of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and picked Aman over Rahul. When asked who she would have chosen in the end during her interview with Humans Of Bombay, Kajol responded that she had no option. On a script level, perhaps, she would have chosen Salman’s role, but if you watch the movie, the conclusion cannot be changed; it must be how it is.
Kajol also said, “My version of Anjali would never be wearing a saree. She would be wearing those track pants and fab, expensive sneakers with it and make that look good.”
Once Karan Johar also revealed that Shabana Azmi bashed him over the phone. During his appearance at the film festival of Melbourne, KJo said, “She told me, ‘what have you shown? That a girl has short hair, so she’s not attractive, and now her hair is long and she’s pretty? What do you have to say to this?’ I said I’m sorry. She said, what? That’s all you have to say?’ I said yes because I know you’re right.
