Even with the makers of Kabali exercising extreme caution, we hear that Rajinikanth’s Kabali has been leaked online. The movie is up for release this Friday, July 22nd and given the extreme interest in the film, the movie was always a target for being pirated. The producers of the film had approached Madras High Court to make sure that piracy of the film can be curbed.
The producer of the Rajinikanth-starrer, S Thanu, had filed a petition to stop illegal download of the film by more than 180 websites. However, the movie was downloaded and allegedly made available on downloading sites online. The CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani had reportedly said that the release of ‘Kabali’ had nothing to do with their office, asserting that the office had nothing to do with this leak or any other recent movies leaked. One hopes the producers recover the money given the huge amout of painstaking effort and finances that has gone into the making of the film.
