Suriya off-handedly announced that he is going to release his film, Kaappan directed by Mohan Lal on 15th August. The move did say that he is taking on the big release of Prabhas, Saaho.
Even in Tamil Nadu, he would have taken on Thala Ajith’s film, Ner Konda Paarvai, as it is locked to release on 10th August. With just one week gap, Tamil distributors wouldn’t have wanted a clash of two big films one week apart that too, when it is not Pongal season.
So, Suriya team has decided to revise their plans and the movie is releasing on 30th August. As Saaho is not as big as Baahubali craze wise, Ajith’s film won’t be really rattled by the presence of it.
But Suriya’s film would have to deal with two biggies one from Tamil and one from Baahubali hero. Hence they decided to give their film and other two biggies breathing space and are coming weeks apart. KV Anand is directing the film with Arya, Sayyesha and Mohan Lal as part of the cast.
